Daily use of distribution software from CapaSystems, has helped to half the costs for internal IT Support at F Group within a few months
The ability to effectively standardize deployment and centralize management of IT in the Danish country-wide chain of electronics stores was the predominant reason for F Group to choose CapaInstaller Software. In addition to the cash savings, the IT department in F GROUP has also been able to cope with the same tasks with fewer resources - a permanent saving, mainly, due to software distribution.
This savings is achieved because the deployment of applications, updates and support can be done centrally. In the past, an IT consultant had to travel around the country to keep PC's updated. Now, with the solution from CapaSystems, there is no physical activity between central IT and the individual store. All program packages are located centrally and distributed from here to computers throughout the chain of stores. Installation and update happens automatically and without user involvement.
ROI in 8 months
"It's been a good investment, and we achieved ROI faster than we expected", states Jens Fauring. The software from CapaSystems is now being used on a daily basis to install antivirus updates, patches, hotfixes and general programming to the entire F GROUP network. Users in individual stores will not notice that their PC’s are being constantly updated with the latest safety features - everything is automated.
F Group has recently used the Asset Management module as part of a Microsoft audit of its licenses. "We resolved this to an A+ with the Asset Management tool, which is recognized by Microsoft as an accepted tool for the license Audit," says Jens Fauring.
