One solution - numerous possibilities
The Danish manufacturer of fine chemicals, Cheminova, manage 700 machines using CapaInstaller Management Solution. In 2010 the company decided to switch from SCCM - they needed a deployment tool that did not require an entire department to manage
- Most people know the phrase: "Keep it simple, stupid." CapaSystems has really managed to keep it simple in the development of CapaInstaller - simple is best!
So says Brian Bach-Hansen who is a System Engineer at Cheminova. In 2010 Cheminova decided to replace SCCM with CapaInstaller Management Solution - a decision they have not regretted.

- It truly shines through the software that CapaSystems know Danish companies well and understand their needs. My experience tells me that SCCM is too large and too complex. SCCM can do everything - no doubt about that - but the operation and maintenance is way too heavy. It is a system that is directed at companies with an entire department that deals only with this territory. And we are definitely not suited for that, continues Brian Bach-Hansen.
The actual implementation process of CapaInstaller Management Solution in the organization surprised Brian Bach-Hansen, who did not believe that it was possible to be up and running in just one day, as he was told:
- I actually thought it was a falsehood - but nevertheless, it was what CapaSystems delivered. Just as positive is the fact that since we got the thinking of the usage of CapaInstaller Management Solution firmly in place, we have largely been self-propelled, says Brian Bach-Hansen, explaining that the Support Department, which previously couldn’t do anything else than to assign programs through the AD, now has a tool with a wealth of opportunities.
- Now we have possibilities we previously did not have, so it is definitely a boost for the company. The management functionality alone, where we now have a complete overview of the installed software on all machines, have great significance. Previously we just assumed that the programs was installed and firmly in place after approx. 20 minutes.

- It is obviously difficult to set an amount on the value it gives to have a sense of proximity from its software vendor. But it means a lot to us. One thing is meeting the CapaSystems staff - always incredibly positive and customer-oriented - something else is the feeling of being listened to when you comment the product. You do not experience that kind of proximity with major software vendors - they don't consider our opinions that relevant. The information we present to CapaSystems does not end up in a big black hole, but will be addressed individually, ends Brian Bach-Hansen.
