Allers Förlag AB has gained time for quality work with CapaInstaller

Allers Förlag AB is the largest publisher in the magazine industry in Sweden. Today the company publishes 28 magazines in the Swedish market and employs more than 600 people. When the company had to choose a Desktop Management solution, four different solutions were tested, including CapaInstaller Management Solution.

CapaInstaller functionality is exceptional

Allers Förlag wanted a solution with a comprehensive feature set, the ability to automate a wide range of tasks and ONE centralized console to m anage all server and PC HW & SW. "We needed a total overview of our environment and thus all the necessary functions integrated into one console. We got all of this by choosing CapaInstaller" says Silvina Johansson, PC technician in Allers Förlag.

Allers Förlag chose CapaInstaller Management Solution because the system offered a complete set of features needed and much more. "It was, said in short, the best from all the solutions tested", says the PC technician Johan Hillborg. He describes CapaInstaller as a "living system" in the sense that it is easy to adapt to existing systems and the functionality is exceptional.

In the area of inventory management Allers Förlag previously had various tools in use. However, "with CapaInstaller Asset Management we do not need other tools. We have gained an overview of all our software, hardware and licenses, thus reducing costs," says Johan Hillborg.


Time for quality work

Johan Hillborg also stressed that many tasks that previously had to be performed manually, are now automated and standardized. In particular, the time spend on pre-deployment scripting previously required a lot of time in the IT department at Allers Förlag. "With CapaInstaller Package Creator you script once and then you are done. Then, we just deploy the packages, and it is not necessary to create a new package every time."


Fast implementation

The fast CapaInstaller implementation surprised Silvina Johansson positively: "The other solutions we looked at were relatively heavy systems. They would have taken much more time to implement and learn to use. One of the advantages of CapaSystems' solution was that it was implemented throughout our architecture in just three days – and we were up and running."

After choosing CapaInstaller the daily work of the IT department has changed character. Time is now spent on the "quality work", according to Johan Hillborg, as a lot of tasks have been automated.

The solution has worked from day one, has led to valuable savings for the internal IT staff and just as important released time for the IT staff to use their skills on more complex assignments.
