- Most people know the phrase: “Keep it simple, stupid.” CapaSystems have really managed to keep it simple in the development of CapaInstaller – simple is best!

So says Brian Bach-Hansen who is a System Engineer at Cheminova. In 2010 Cheminova decided to replace SCCM with CapaInstaller Management Solution – a decision they have not regretted.

- It truly shines through the software that CapaSystems know Danish companies well and understand their needs. My experience tells me that SCCM is too large and too complex. SCCM can do everything – no doubt about that – but the operation and maintenance is way too heavy. After prolonged demands CapaSystems sets a new course – learn to create software packages by using CapaInstaller Package Creator

Over the years the Course Department at CapaSystems has offered courses like CMS Foundation and OS Deployment Advanced. Courses that have been both well attended and have received positive feedback from customers, by giving them a deeper knowledge of CapaSystems CapaInstaller Management Solution.

And now CapaSystems publish a new course – CapaInstaller Package Creator. A course the customers have demanded for a long time – in particular the technical staff responsible for Corporate Client Management:

”We are very pleased that we are able to meet the customer´s request of getting a deeper understanding of creating software packages by using CapaInstaller Package Creator,” says Torben Sand Petersen, Chief Consulting Officer.

With a basic knowledge of how to create packages we will work with CapaInstaller Package Creator – an extremely powerful tool for fast and secure package distribution. This is a hands-on course where the student through exercises and assignments are guided through different everyday scenarios and thereby will learn to apply the right tools.

The course material is being finalized these days and the instructor is ready to welcome the trainees.

CapaSystems welcomes two new employees

Once again CapaSystems expands the numbers of employees – this time by employing a 2. Level Supporter and a Sales Assistant

Taastrup, 12th of April 2011: Since the Summer of 2010 CapaSystems has expanded the numbers of employees with six – this time it is both the Support and the Sales Department which has been given additional ressources.

CapaSystems has employed Tommy Kjær, 41 years old, as 2. Level Supporter, working with one of CapaSystems primary software solutions, Performance Guard.
Tommys primary task is to handle both the national and international 2. Level Support.
However Tommy has a strong profile in software testing and QA for which reason he eventually will contribute more to the CapaSystems Development Department and especially the Performance Guard Team.

In the Sales Department CapaSystems has employed Heidi Kaalby Nielsen, 29 years old, as Sales Assistant with the Taastrup office as her permanent base.
Heidi will assist the Danish Sales Team and has the responsibility to book all the important progress meetings with the national customers.

Today Scandinavias leading provider of Service Management Solutions employs no less than 57 employees located in to offices, respectively in Taastrup and Skanderborg. Currently CapaSystems has customers placed in more than 46 countries.

Aalborg Municipality extends the coorperation

The School & Culture Committee at Aalborg Municipality has re-signed 8,000 CMS licenses

Configuration Management, OS Deployment, Software Meetering, Patch Management, EZmsi, Package Creator and Script Editor. In the daily administration of 8,000 PCs the School & Culture Committee at Aalborg Municipality uses the whole CapaInstaller Management Solution from the danish software company CapaSystems.
It has been that way since 2007 – and in the future it will look the same.
To ensure the optimal administration of all the workstations, the School & Culture Committee has just decided to extend the cooperation with CapaSystems.

- CapaInstaller Management Solution makes it easy to manage 8,000 PCs even though they are located 60 different places around the municipality. It is simple to communicate the use of CMS to the local administrators, and it is of great importance that we don´t need to use to much of our time explaining the features, says Ole Haugaard Dahl, IT administrator.

With 19,000 employees divided between seven committies Aalborg Municipality is the larges place of employment in the region. The School & Culture Committee is responsible for the 50 schools in the municipality, the six special schools, the special education, the after school care, the public libraries, the general education and the cultural and leisure life.

Randers Municipality extends the coorperation with CapaSystems

Randers Municipality has re-signed the 3.500 CMS licenses

Since the municipal amalgamation in autumn 2006, Randers Municipality has used CapaInstaller Management Solution to make it easy to manage, deploy and maintain Windows-based clients and servers. Randers Municipality has just decided to extend the cooperation with CapaSystems.

- By using Configuration Management, OS Deployment and Reporting & Queries we get fast and consistent configuration. It makes it easy to deploy new software packages and update the existing – and it is of great value, that we have the opportunity to integrate with the helpdesk system Nilex, which we use, says IT Group Manager Kurt Frydendal, Randers Municipality.

The new Randers Municipality is formed by Purhus, Nørhald and Randers, the western part of Sønderhald, most of Langå and Havndal, today the eastern part of Mariager. The municipality is located in the eastern Jutland and with a population of nearly 93,000 and an area of ​​800km2, Randers Municipality is among the largest in Denmark.

It all began in 2008 with 7.300 CMS-licenses. Today Herning Municipality has 15.000 clients, and has extended the contract with CapaSystems.

- We more or less make use of every part of CapaInstaller Management Solution, but especially OS Deployment and Configuration Management gives us great value. And the fact that it is possible to deploy packages with use of only one tool, makes it incredibly easy for us, says Kim Skotte Larsen, System Administrator, Herning Municipality.

Service Update: Version 5.7.24 of Performance Guard Server is released

It is a maintenance release that fixes a bug in the frontend/backend server communication that may cause the communication to break in a highly loaded environment.

Also the performance of requesting IP-traffic information about a single client or pulling IP-traffic hotspot lists has been improved tremendously.
